Warning: Javert and Romance? WTF? Blame the recent forced AU.
Effects: Contrary to the video, viewers will not feel satisfied, happy, or elated. They will not feel love. Instead they will first feel anxiety, confusion, anger, breathlessness... then a sated calm. Emotion will match italicized segments.

[so that was what Naomi meant. Well, that's just a bit...funny. Of course, he's dealt with Javert before - clearly, laughing out loud would likely lead to something he doesn't want. So he simply sniggers.]

A beautiful ceremony, if I might say so, sir.

[Javert casts Draco a cold, withering look upon Draco. What a miserable morning this is! Dryly, he says,]

What I've always dreamed of.

[mm, withering glares. Not like he's not used to those. He just keeps grinning, like the brown-noser he is.]

Oh, I can tell, being that you're dreaming of it now, sir.

How very observant of you to sense my good humor.

*The boy looks serious in a way that he rarely is. The added time to sort out the memories from that previous life had given him confidence that viewing another episode from this man wouldn't start out awkward and progress to all new heights of the same, but he hadn't anticipated a video such as this. Suddenly the return of his former strong loyalty to his real father isn't the anchor he thought it would be ( ... )

I was young once.

But flattery won't get you far, Fenton. The difference isn't so great.

*Whenever in doubt, Danny has one backup option that he never leaves behind: sarcasm and ambiguous quips.* You're right, there's not much of a difference.

*The boy shifts position, trying to get comfortable wherever he is. In the next moment he's collected his thoughts enough that he heads for the less-disturbing of the thoughts plaguing him. Of course, this is Danny, so...*

Were those extra memories from when you killed yourself?

[Javert gives a slight start. Rather than respond in anger, though, Javert's eyes glimmer sharply with dim, hollow amusement.]

Extra? Not quite. But they are. Nothing you haven't already seen.

[Naomi already told Dominic about having been married to the Inspector during the event, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise to him.

However, that doesn't stop this from being incredibly weird.]

[Javert waits for several beats, expected Dominic to speak what with that flabbergasted expression on his face. Yet it didn't come. The Inspector prompts for him.]

Ah, um...! It's... nothing.

[Eloquence is not Dominic's strong suit at all times.]

... Really.

[He rolls his eyes.]

At ease, Sorel. Speak your mind. I'll hear it.

[Are you sure you want to press that button, Anemone? Javert remains calm and cold, a touch of sarcasm in his tone. Obviously, he now knows it never really happened. But he'll play along for now.]

As well as any on a budget.

[In a flat, incredibly blasé tone]

Not so low that it didn't bear me children.

Now works just as well as any other time, Monsieur.

[Javert is just fine with ignoring the dream contents, Edgeworth. He is not one to speak about something so tender as feelings, especially to his professional acquaintances.]

Is this brief enough for a-- ah, video conference, or do you want a verbal report in your office? [Once upon a time, Javert would not have been able to say what a video conference is, nor would he understand the word 'video.' If Edgeworth hasn't noticed already, he will soon notice the Inspector's newfound technological competency.] I will be at the station shortly.

[Javert pulls his water-stained, faded and barely-ticking watch from his pocket to double-check the current time.]

I have an important matter to deliver to you. But I must request that you read it immediately after you receive it.

[He bows into the video feed, raising his eyes to Edgeworth with respect and... an unidentifiable fiery emotion. Something has gotten Javert charged up today.]

I will arrive in no more than a quarter of an hour.
