Why couldn't they have left Spike back in LA, being a ghost and being, well, useless? Well, Spike, in Angel's opinion, was useless no matter what shape he was in, but at least then Angel could get a vacation of sorts away from him by coming to New Orleans. However, everyone had to do the 'right thing' and make him corporeal again. Right now Angel would just be happy if Spike ran off and...did something else but annoy him ( ... )

When it came to whatever Captain Forehead said Spike didn't really listen. Sure, the guy had taught him the ropes of the vampire trade more then Dru had, what with her being slightly unhinged. But the dork had also left them behind when he got this dumb soul. Spike loved pointing out that he got used to the soul within a week while Angel was still brooding about it. Seriously, what the fuck? Would the dumbass rather turn into Angelus again ( ... )

"Could you please find something less stupid to bitch about right now than everyone's driving skills?" Angel snapped at Spike. He wasn't sure how this worked, but Spike somehow managed to get on every one of Angel's nerves. Sure, his nerves were supposed to be dead because he was a vampire, but Spike irritated him enough so that his nerves came alive just so that they would be in pain ( ... )

"Well I'd mock your hair and bitch about that," Spike shot back without missing a beat, "But that's gettin' really old." Meanwhile he started to rummage around the room for some lighters, matches, some shit like that. Wes had taken his away, the orny bastard, when he tried to smoke in the car a second time. Not like they were gonna get old was it! It wasn't second hand smokin' that was gonna off them and they all knew it. Ugh ( ... )

Angel had to keep reminding himself that Wes no longer knew what Angel still couldn't help but hold against him, even though he didn't want to anymore. No, he didn't want to be angry with Wes that he had taken Connor, who had subsequently been kidnapped and come back so screwed up that, eventually, Angel had to erase everyone's memories in an effort to make everything OK for all of them. He couldn't help but occasionally lash out at him, though. A part of him was STILL angry about it, after all this time ( ... )

A look was given to Angel, one which was filled with confusion and maybe a little hurt. On the one hand Wesley was certain he was, perhaps, imagining things. On the other hand he knew that he wasn't. Angel had been treating him differently then before or any of the others. He just couldn't figure out *why* this was ( ... )

Angel was already mentally kicking himself, and the look that Wesley was giving him made it all the worse. Still, right now they had a job to do, which would give him and Wes something else to think about, which is obviously what they needed. Besides, there was a new Hellmouth to think of, and a group of demons whom Angel had to be especially nice to in order to gain them as allies in this city. Sometimes he really hated being the head of a law firm now. He had to keep being nice to people, which was obviously something he kind of sucked at, vampire pun aside ( ... )

It should not come as a huge surprise that the cars they had were of the extravagant sort and yet it somehow did. Unlike Gunn, Angel and possibly Cordelia, Wesley could care less about cars. As long as it drove, kept him dry and warm, it was fine by him. He had never understood that protective streak both Gunn and Angel had showed where their car or truck had been concerned ( ... )
