Reaching the side of Sookie's house, Sam carefully sniffed around the base of the cans. He smelled Sookie's cat, and he laughed inside as he imagined what Sookie would do if he gave chase to her beloved feline!
He could tell Sookie's Grandmother had made chicken pot pie for dinner, and for a moment, Sam forgot all about his reasons for being at the Compton house! He realized he haden't eaten all day, and the smells were just too much. He propped his front paws upon the can, rooting around for a second, then before he knew it, ~CRASSH!~ The can came tumbling down, and Sam jumped back a foot in fright! Looking around, he saw not a single soul, so he dug in, found the scaps of food and gobbled them down quicker than a wink. Suddenly feeling shame on himself for forgetting why he was there, he quietly slunk around the back of the house, staking out the place, and just waited.
