Who: Amelia Broadway, Sookie Stackhouse, Jason Stackhouse
Where: Gran's house
When: Breakfast time

Even though Jason lived up at his parents' old place, that sure didn't mean he had to eat over there, too. Not when good cooking was right down the street!

Jason pulled up the drive to Gran's, and parked besides the two cars that were ( Read more... )

Sookie was already up and making some pancakes and eggs, while Amelia was still asleep on the couch. Gran had gone to church and breakfast with some of her fellow churchgoers. Noticing Amelia, Gran had been pleasantly surprised to see a houseguest. But, Sookie knew she was disappointed it wasn't a male. Or even Bill, who she had coyly gushed about with Gran a couple nights earlier. Of course, he couldn't be sleeping on the couch or he'd light on fire, or something. She wasn't too sure, really ( ... )

Through the pleasant fog of sleep, Amelia suddenly became aware of a loud, distinctly male voice. Bleary-eyed and stifling a yawn, she listened as someone whispered fervently and the voices retreated to another room, leaving Amelia in her awkward half-asleep state.

Sitting up, she ran a hand through her tousled hair and grumbled. Squinting in the morning light, she reached down and dug through her purse for a hair tie. As she pulled her messy hair into a careless ponytail, she listened for any clues as to who Sookie's early-morning visitor might be. It certainly couldn't be Bill, that was for sure. Her mind still recovering from the depths of sleep, Amelia staggered to her feet and shuffled off toward the kitchen, hoping that there would be coffee waiting there, and plenty of it...

... along with Sookie and a tall, very good-looking young man. Well, good morning to me, Amelia thought, then banished such thoughts from her head, lest Sookie catch her drift. Blinking slowly, Amelia finally managed to say, "G'morning. I didn't know we ( ... )

"Shit, sorry, I didn't think..." Jason hoarsely mumbled, staring behind him at the couch the whole time as Sookie went and dragged him away. It wasn't like they had guests go and sleep over that often. It had seemed like forever since they even had some family come by and visit ( ... )

"Right, you need to keep up your strength before you start your round of flirtin'," she said, with a hint of sarcasm. After letting go of Jason's arm, Sookie resumed her breakfast preparations. Normally, Gran had food waiting for her and usually made extra for Jason. But, she had offered to cook this morning. It never was as good as her Gran's, but it was still delicious ( ... )

Sookie's brow furrowed slightly as Jason seemed rather outraged that she knew a vampire. Of course, after his anti-vampire speech just now, she couldn't really be surprised. "No, he don't look like that," she said, looking towards the window as she imagined Bill, her expression softening, "He's got a full head of dark hair. And he's sorta old fashioned looking. He definitely don't look like a, you know, movie or TV vampire, but you can just tell he's one."

She could tell more easily than others since she could signal out his lack of thoughts.

She averted her eyes quickly to her pancakes and resumed munching as Jason boasted his popularity to Amelia. Way to win her affection, Jason, she thought. Not that she wanted Jason to be after her new friend. But, he was coming off a little too....well, Jason ( ... )

(OOC: Sorry for the delay, guys...)

Amelia nodded as Sookie defended Bill, piping up, "Vamps can look just as normal as anybody else. There's no rule that says they have to look like Lestat or whatever other fangy stereotypes people immediately jump to." Having made her point, she shrugged and walked over to the coffee pot to pour herself another cup. Jason would think whatever he wanted to, but the last thing Amelia wanted to see was him making assumptions about Bill before he even met him. That's just rude, she thought, frowning as she leaned against the counter and took a sip ( ... )
