Summary: He couldn’t lie to Katy, couldn’t tell her she was the only one he loved and mean it. Because he didn’t, hadn’t for awhile.
Author’s Note: This is unbeta'd, did a read through but might not have caught everything so bear with me people lol. This was just supposed to be a small one-shot, and it's still a one-shot, just not a small one. The porn is all the way at the end, and there is plot, with a bit of angst, you have been warned.
“Kris?” Katy looked up at him tears welling in her eyes and she backed away her hand coming up to clutch at her chest. He could see it, her heart was breaking, he was breaking it, breaking her. He couldn’t take it back, he didn’t want to hurt her, had never wanted to hurt her but he couldn’t lie to her.
He couldn’t lie to Katy, couldn’t tell her she was the only one he loved and mean it. Because he didn’t, hadn’t for awhile.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered raggedly his voice sounding wrecked “I still love you; I’m just not in love with you anymore.” Each word dripped from his lips like poison and he saw it hit her, the widening of her eyes, the way her fingers dug into her own shirt as she tried to hold onto something.
She had always been so expressive, it was one of the things he had fallen in love with, with her he knew where he was, how they were, how things were going to be. He didn’t have to guess or fumble, he knew her, just as much as she had once known him.
“There’s,” he breathed out, choking on the words, knowing it just made it worse, knowing he should just shut up now and walk away but he owed her honesty “there’s someone else, I fell in love with someone else.” He reached for her, trying to give her some comfort, trying to alleviate some of the guilt he felt. His fingers brushed her arm and she jerked away, like she had been burned.
Her mouth was in a tight line, pain radiating from her body “I know.” she muttered her voice just as torn now as his “I knew it, everyone saw it, didn’t exactly try to hide it did you?” she was shaking, coming apart right in front of his eyes “But you didn’t say anything, you tell me everything and you didn’t say anything so I thought everything would be okay, that it was okay.” She shook her eyes her eyes filled with sorrow and her shoulders slumped with defeat “But you didn’t know, and now you do. You love Adam.” it wasn’t a question, just a statement of fact, a fact Kris had just come to realize after the show had ended and they had started to go in their own directions.
“I do.” his voice was soft and he looked at her regretting that he had hurt her, hating himself for hurting someone so beautiful and bright, she had filled his life with such happiness, had made his heart soar, had given him so much support and love for awhile he had drowned in it.
But it wasn’t enough, she had loved him in a way he was just finding out he loved Adam. He loved her but not with that same overwhelming intensity that fueled his love for the other man.
Didn’t stop him from feeling like a jerk, didn’t make any of this better.
Kris looked down at the floor hating the person he had become, hating the fact that he had cheated on his wife, and hating the fact that he had hurt her. He closed his eyes breathing in deeply and reached up to drag his thumb and forefinger across the damp lids.
“Kris.” Katy’s voice was soft and he looked up stunned as she moved towards him her small arms wrapping around his waist and her head coming to rest on his shoulder. She fell into him and he pulled her closer arms instinctively embracing her. She was stiff in her arms but she was there.
“I love you, I will always love you.” she whispered in his ear and he could hear the tears in her voice, the ones she was trying to hold back. “It hurts and I would really like it if you didn’t call me for awhile, but be happy.” She pulled back her arms still wrapped around him and her eyes pained “If you’re going to do this don’t hold back, you deserve to be happy, you deserve to be in love,” her laugh was bitter but it was hers “and damn it I deserve someone who loves me so get out and go find your man.”
He nodded and felt her pull away her hands smoothing down her shirt and whipping at her eyes. Those hands wrapped around her waist, like she was trying to protect herself. She took a deep breath and stood straight gaining whatever height she could her voice firm “So, I am going to call a lawyer and start the whole divorce thing, and you need to go, I’m kicking you out.”
He couldn’t help but smile at that, the smile filled with less joy then it usually was and he nodded voice soft “Okay, I’m going to go pack a bag and find a hotel for the night.” He turned away from her, had to, knew that if he didn't it would just be harder for them both.

Kris stood in front of the house debating whether he should knock on the door or not. He knew security was watching him, knew they had watched him drive up and that they had been the ones to let him through the gate. It spoke of how much Adam cared about him, that even his security knew to let him in.
It was time Kris showed him how much he cared for him.
He had known how much it tore Adam up to be with Kris when Kris was married to Katy. Adam wasn’t that guy; he had never wanted to be that guy. He wasn’t the guy that ruined a marriage. That stole someone else’s husbands.
Adam took Kris’s vows seriously and it had been Kris to initiate things. Kris had been the one to start this; he had made the first move. They had just fallen together after that. It had been easy; it had felt right. But every time Kris talked to Katy on the phone Adam’s eyes had dimmed but he had stayed, because when you loved someone you couldn’t leave them. Adam did love him, that was something Kris didn’t doubt, couldn’t. Because Adam had stayed only expecting heartache, never expecting Kris to choose him over his wife.
Because of him Adam had become someone he wasn’t, he had been the other man, and every time Katy called Adam let him go to her side even though Kris saw it tore her him up inside.
Kris took a deep breath and knocked his knuckles rapping on the wood.
“Coming, coming,” a familiar voice yelled from inside and the door was wrenched open to show Adam, it was close to midnight and he was in his white sweatpants a black shirt inside out from being jerked on. His eyes was messy and his face void of make-up, freckles stood up starkly against the pale skin and a smile stretched his lips.
He was beautiful.
“Kris!” there was confusion in his voice but his arms were already pulling Kris into a tight embrace, Kris sank into Adam’s arms burying his head in the other mans chest.
“Kris?” Adam asked curious happiness still in his eyes and those eyes shifted to the duffle bag Kris had beside him, his guitar case leaning against it and that confusion grew warring with hope.
Kris shifted nervously in front of him, moving from one foot to the other, his voice was soft “I was wondering if I could stay here?” He licked his lips nervously telling him “I left Katy, she knows and she’ll be fine. I just, I don’t want lose you. I want you, just you.”
“God Kris.” Adam’s voice was filled with shock and wonder and those arms went back around him, holding him tightly against the other man’s chest. Adam was shaking and Kris was sure he was too as his voice whispered in his ear, warmth and happiness breathed for him “Are you sure you want to do this? You have to be sure? I’m not going to hide,” Adam looked at him his eyes clear and determined “I don’t ever want to have to hide again Kris.”
Kris shook his head his heart beating furiously “No more hiding.” and Adam’s mouth was on his, hot and possessive. Kris’s mouth opened instinctively letting in the heat and passion that was Adam and joy filled his heart, made him light headed as it finally hit him that he had done it, it hurt, people were hurt, and things were far from over but he had made a choice and he was going to stick to it, because it was the right one, the only one he could make.

The joy had lasted only as long as it had took for the first pictures to appear splashed all over magazines with accusations and “facts” all over the place. Kris was a cheater, Adam had seduced the Christian boy, and his favorite one being Katy was pregnant and had lost the baby when she had found out her husband was gay.
The first was true, Kris was ashamed but it was true, the second was the other way around, it had been Kris to clumsily seduce the gay glam rocker, and the last was such a ridiculous lie that Katy had come out of seclusion to call the person that wrote it an idiot on national television.
Kris had moved in with Adam, and everyone knew it.
Kris and Adam were together, finally, and everyone knew it.
Kris was bi-sexual and everyone knew it and it sucked.
He had grown used to the media scrutiny after Idol, had thought he had handled it well and settled into fame but this wasn’t being famous. This was being hunted. Cameras were everywhere, being shoved in their faces and in the faces of everyone that had so much as talked to them. Their families and friends were bombarded, even the other contestants were being put in the spotlight. Matt had called last week to thank Kris for fucking up his life because he couldn’t even get a burger anymore without being asked if he knew his former roommate liked it up the ass.
Who in the hell got a burger at two in the morning, then called to bitch at their friend? Kris had hung up on him and had gotten an email apologizing but telling Kris to stop hiding at Adam’s house and to do an interview or two to please the masses so Matt could enjoy his greese in peace, with fans that wanted to see him.
So he had done an interview, and he had done a few interviews with Adam, and there had been even more magazine covers. They had become a running joke on late night television.
Kris could handle that; he really could, because it was worth it. Adam was worth it. What Kris wasn’t sure he could handle were the letters, the magazine articles, the message boards that put his entire life under scrutiny and declared him a deviant that was going to hell.
He couldn’t handle his own church, the one he had devoted himself to, publicly stepping away from him because they couldn’t associate with him. He couldn’t handle his aunt telling him she was ashamed of him and that she didn’t want his kind around her daughter, the daughter that Kris had grown to love and adore.
He didn’t know how to handle that.
“Kris?” Adam’s head poked through the door looking down at where Kris was sitting down on the floor his arms wrapped around his legs only dressed in the flannel pajama pants him mom had gotten him and the phone was still in his hand with the message from his aunt.
He looked up at Adam tears still staining his cheeks and his voice was hoarse “How did you do it? All these years, with people, with all the hate,” Kris’s voice broke “how do you do it?”
“Oh honey,” Adam breathed his eyes softening and he came to Kris sinking on his knees beside him and pressing his forehead to Kris’s “all you can do is say fuck you to all those people that say something is wrong with you, cause there is not a thing wrong with you and there is nothing wrong with me.” He pressed a kiss to Kris’s forehead and asked “What happened?”
“My Aunt doesn’t want me around her.” Kris whispered softly his eyes on the phone in his hand “she thinks, she…” Kris broke off and Adam took the phone out of his hand shiftily deleting the message before Kris could break the phone or listen to it again, both would be bad.
“It’s okay,” he whispered softly pulling Kris closer to him “it will be okay, we’ll call that momma of yours and let her handle your aunt. There’s nothing wrong with you, hey look at me,” Adam ordered softly and Kris looked up at him pain in his eyes “there is nothing wrong with you.” Adam repeated firmly his hand carding through Kris’s hair “and you know I’m right because I’m always right.”
“Shut up.” Kris muttered a smile playing at his lips and he leaned into Adam eyes closing at the soothing motion of Adam playing with his hair. He let his eyes rest on the side of the bed and he turned his head to look over at Adam his hand burying itself in Adam’s hair and am dragging him foreword to fuse his mouth with his.
“There’s nothing wrong with me, and there is nothing wrong with you.” Kris drew back enough to mutter hotly before his mouth returned to Adam’s and he pushed the other man against the side of the bed as he let his body fall on Adam’s, lifting himself up so that he straddled Adam’s thighs.
Adam groaned into Kris’s mouth a pleased smile tugging at his lips as he returned the kiss and settled his hands on Kris’s hips griping him tightly.
Kris’s mouth moved from Adam and to his neck and he heard Adam groan as Kris nipped at his throat, teeth dragging against the skin. “There’s nothing wrong with this.” he whispered firmly against the heated flesh and he hated that he sounded like he was trying to convince himself.
Adam’s grip tightened on his hips his voice was rough “Not a damn thing.” and Kris closed his eyes as he felt Adam lift him up, his legs tightening around Adam’s waist and he was thrown on the bed Adam come down on top of him the older man’s mouth licking its way into his as a hand reached down, slipping under the pants on wrapping tightly around his cock.
Kris moaned his back arching and Adam took that as an invitation to bite down at his neck, teeth worrying the flesh so that Kris was marked, claimed. Adam drew back his eyes filled with lust and his lips twisted wickedly as he pumped Kris slowly the tip of his finger trailing over the slit “Does this feel wrong?” his fist tightened, squeezing Kris.
Kris moaned eyes fluttering trying to remain locked on Adam “No.” he shook his head.
Adam’s smile stayed in place as he pushed the pants down Kris’s hips and thighs, over his legs, and threw them on the floor his hand moving from Kris’s length and his body shifting over Kris as he pulled off his shirt now just clad in the white he had worn when Kris had come to move in with him. He grabbed the lube off the bedside table and Kris notice his lips quirk, knowing that Adam was remembering the time Kris rushed into the room to toss the lube in the drawer before the interviewer could see it.
He squeezed out some of the liquid on his fingers and reached down to trail them over Kris’s skin, ghosting over his entrance before pushing one in slowly. His other hand wrapped around Kris’s thigh and dragged him up, hooking the leg over his shoulder and fitting a pillow under Kris’s hips.
Kris’s arm was thrown over his eyes and his mouth was slack as he panted working his hips and pushing back as Adam added another finger, scissoring.
“Does this fell wrong?” Adam demanded his voice low as he added a third finger and twisted, opening Kris up for him.
“God no.” Kris groaned fucking himself on Adam’s fingers, spread beneath him, beautiful.
Adam somehow managed to take his own pants off and squeezed out some more lube to rub over his own cock, already hard just looking at Kris on display for him, and he gave one last last twist of his wrist before he pulled his fingers out wiping them against the sheet.
Kris’s hole winked up at him and Adam guided his dick to that spot, pushing the head in slowly as the ring of muscle tightened around him, clinging, Kris’s body begging to be fucked and Adam lifted Kris’s other leg over his shoulder, pushing in with one hard thrust.
Kris nearly screamed, his arm falling as his hands clutched at the sheets, and he arching into Adam, his body inviting him in completely like it had always done. Adam stilled his breathing deeply as he looked down at Kris, feeling the tight heat gripping him and his voice was rough but softer, a whisper as he asked again “Does this feel wrong?”
Kris’s eyes opened slowly and a smile touched the corner of his lips his hips undulating as he fucked himself onto Adam’s cock “No, this doesn’t feel wrong. It feels right.”
“Good.” Adam smirked arching down to steal a kiss and he began to move again.
