Yikes. Hope you get better. I was changing the oil in 3 deep fryers twice a week at Hardee's, during my senior year. Had a few accidents, and a few almost really bad accidents. We had elbow length protective gloves and an ankle long rubber apron (and a plastic face shield that nobody used). My favorite time was when the gloves had a hole in them between the thumb and the forefinger. Didn't know it was there till it fused my latex work glove to my skin.
Okay, Ken, Rav-T, Skippy, Brett (I think), and now ArmlessDan have all done jobs involving fryers. And yet I remain unsullied by the food industry. Am I missing out on something, or is this just a common pattern among my friends?
