[When the Mantis stops moving, Xion is dropped from its clutches. A simple dodge rolls protects her as she lands on the ground looking up awestruck.]

Nina!

[And oh wait, did you think you were safe? Have more Mantises coming up, Nina.]

...There's more. [Keyblade summoning time! But she looks at Nina.]

You should go inside, Nina.

[Xion frowns a moment, before giving a nod and a resolute smile.]

Then stay safe. My Keyblade can defeat them easily-- but if one escapes.

( ( Even Spain is beginning to notice a trend here and Toro isn't getting tired of charging at random monsters, trying to save any victims. So hang on, Xion, the calvary is (kind of) here and Toro will be charging at the mantis, trying to help her get free. ) )

[Oh no! She has to wonder if Toro is another one of the monsters, but for now she will squirm within the monster's grasp. It's pretty hard to summon a Keyblade when you're being carted off by a monster, though.]

[Yuna comes charging up behind Xion and the mantis monster, pactio active and gun out.]

Xion! Don't worry, I'll get you out!

[On the verge of summoning her Keyblade, Xion looks up startled.]

Yuna! Be careful!

[gonnamarrydaddy]

Don't worry, I'm a pretty good shot! I won't hit you!

[Yuna takes aim and fires, pegging the goofy-looking monster in the side. Hopefully that'll be enough to either bring it down entirely or at least get it to drop Xion so they can defeat it together.]

It's not me I'm worried about!

[But she squeaks as the mantis drops her and crumbles to the ground. Dodgerolling to protect herself from the fall, Xion unleashes her Keyblade the minute she has the chance.]

[In that pre-Keyblade moment, the mantis carrying Xion is joined by a crab in a similar state of carting someone off.

Only its prisoner is mostly upside down in its claws and not in any pain at all, just...confused. Terribly so.

She chirps at Xion as the crab passes by.]

[Xion is surprised at the sight of Flandre. The younger appearing girl not being upset worried Xion, but she shook her head.]

I-I don't know. You're not scared?

[Flandre actually has to think for a moment here.]

Not very much. It doesn't hurt that bad, but it won't say where we're going when I ask it or why we're going somewhere else.

...it made some kind of horrible noise before, though, so it must talk somehow!

I've never tried talking to something like this before! Maybe once we get there we'll get an idea of what it wants...
