Okay so I know I never write in my lj but I visited McGill and Montreal on Friday and Saturday and I really need help processing because I have to make my college decision like …today. So input would be nice.

So basically, I absolutely loved McGill, and especially the city of Montreal, but I am fucking terrified of going there. It’s a beautiful

Go to McGill. It's clearly the school you want to go to, but you're just scared of going outside your comfort zone. You'll be FINE. Pick the school you like best (McGill) not the one that feels safest (Maryland). That's what I would do.

Oh also, if I go to McGill, Canada has a different thanksgiving. So I wouldn't be able to come home for thanksgiving. WORST.

Okay, I say go for McGill. It's an incredible school, with a great reputation. You seem to really just be scared of the challenge and like growing up. I think that you will be able to handle the social aspect, no problem. You're fun and outgoing and you WANT to make friends. And every other scared and awkward freshman will want to make friends, too. So you've got that covered. But you're also scared of being overwhelmed, yes? Well, you'll have Eric there. Yeah, that's not like a reason to pick a school, but if all else fails and you ever just NEED someone to talk to, he'll be right there. And I think that's something that would help all of us as froshies in our new schools. And most importantly, you LOVE the school. You're going to be so happy if you go there. Sure, it'll almost definitely be incredibly stressful for the first like month, but after that you'll be in a routine and you'll know people and you'll be completely set. So go for McGill :)
