yay for a happy post :)

dig the shoes - well, dig the bright and possibly luminescent shoelaces!

music -> always tried to avoid iTunes myself - never really found it that user-friendly, oddly enough. as for *what* music ... gosh that's a big question! i ripped my entire CD collection so i've got, er, lots ...

podcasts: i like radio lab from wnyc. when they're good, they're very, very good. when they're bad (or occasionally, when an episode cuts off in the middle, which i don't know if it's a problem with itunes or what) they are tiresome. but that's rare.

i also listen to cbc's the best of ideas (sadly, a more even mix of awesome & tiresome), inkstuds (interviews with comic creators), fresh air (npr arts-culture-politics interview show) wait wait don't tell me (npr comedy news quiz) & this american life. i don't know where your tastes & interests might lie as far as those, though.

i am intrigued by this tattoo idea. i dunno what i can commit or if i'm the style of artist you're looking for, but i'd like to know more.

Sorry I'm such a tool about getting back to you on this; I am interested in your tattoo! In fact, I've been thinking of birds for myself, so this would be a good way to push myself to play with lots and lots of bird designs.

*laugh*!

No worries, I'm throwing it out there and getting as many ideas about it as possible. Not a tool, I'm really bad about getting back about stuff these days, too :)

Oh oh also I've finally taken up knitting; if you have any pattern recommendations for beginners, do tell!

I can write out the baby-booty pattern I have in my head, the first ever knitting I did, or unearth my first armwarmers, or or or... ravelry.com is a good place to start ;)
