The Corsage Project

Apr 23, 2005 20:52

Sunday (Apr 17) and I started off on the wrong foot. First thing I did in the morning was to get into a silly fight with my mother about the phone. Then I missed a bus on my way to the stop, so ended up five minutes late. Farah was waiting for me. (Gaaasp! I know ( Read more... )

See? And you refused to try on any dress. Pche. You don't give them a chance to begin with, dammit.

My mum ironed my dress and it shrank. Now I can't wear it any more lol. SO I guess I'm not going to prom =/

It shrank from ironing?? I thought clothes usually shrink after washing, but expand a bit after ironing....? Maybe you could bring it to the drycleaners; they might be able to do something.

Ohohohohoh, I got a free 1-week subscription at DA!!! XDDDD

Wow, I've never heard of clothes shrinking from ironing... that's gotta be a frist! But wow, sounds like you had a great time at the corsage project. oh damn, that reminds me, i have to do something about the corsage/boutineiere (sp?) thing. anyways, im sure you're over-exaggerating the whole panda eye thing. I beleive its eye shadow :P. Its supposed to make you look prettier, not like a panda. And i dont think they were looking at you cuz of the eyeshadow, (yes min jie, its a distinct possibility, but maybe, just MAYBE, you looked very pretty and they were all amazed.)
hmm, that seemed uncharacteristically nice... umm... hmm... you smell. there we go.

Hahahahahaha~ I was actually a little worried before reaching the last sentence~ LOL!

(What corsage/boutineiere thing? Dictionary.com: boutonniere -- a flower that is worn in a buttonhole. You're gonna wear one?)

Corsage is this flower that girls wear on their wrists in formal occations. I saw it from a movie before.

Yeah. my dress is made of Nylon, so it shrank under heat. Cotton shrinks in water. x__x

LOL! "Kinda scary" is right. ("why-is-she-so-damned-happy" XDDD)
So THAT's what it is.... nah, I'd never wear that. It'd get in the way of my food! =D

Your mum probably used too high a temperature when ironing.... =(

Glad you had fun. So lucky to have such a service in your honour. I don't even know what to wear and that's assuming I don't get rejected..lol. Such formalities and new ground land me in a very frightened state.

Peter, you're a guy, you don't really have much choice as to what you wear. A tux. See, for a guy, going in the same thing as another guy is fine, (which is bound to happen, seeing as how most people will be wearing a black tux, which will differ only in like peak/notch or number of buttons). For a girl, its like... unthinkable to go in the same dress as another girl. They'd freak out. and then who knows what. Silly girls.

oh, and minjie, usually the girls date gets her the corsage (or so ive been led to beleive). hence the wink wink nudge nudge. (get it?) (got it?) (good).

"Before we left, we saw Linda in a dress identical to mine. Since she'd chosen the same one, it must mean that I have good taste too! w00t~ So now we're dress-buddies. XD"

Did you not see that? ^^; That's two girls right there who don't mind going in the same dress. =D

You can wink till your eyelid cramps up, but you know I won't change my mind. (someone who doesn't know us can so easily misinterpret this... lol!)

why would someone who doesnt know us be reading this anyways? If they don't know us... wouldn't that be kindof creepy? and ... yeah... they need to get a REAL life instead of reading the journals of people they dont know.
and even if they're reading this anyways, who cares, if they dont know us... who careS???
