Okay, so I promised some people I would post my thoughts on SGU’s first episode. The reason this is over a week late is because the first “episode” was a three-parter and I only wanted to post after I saw it all.

Plus, I had to actually calm down enough to write anything remotely coherent.

While I stand by my position of not really being a big fan of Greer, it is insanely cool that Young went back and ate some crow and said, "Hey, I need you out there."

And I'm with you on the Eli love! Except for me he's just a big teddy bear that I want to cuddle and tell him everything's gonna be okay. C:

And as for Young.... I want to do Very Naughty ThingsTM to him.

RAWR! Yes, Young does seem to have that effect on us - it's how gorgeous his ass is in Dawn of the Dead. *licks him*

Bottom line, glad Joel Goldsmith is along for the ride; fucking love his music!

The music is absolutely awesome!! I love it!

The entire scene with the arrivals, I thought, set a great tone for the episode.

Yes. OMG yes. That entire opening sequence...wow. By the time we got to the ad break I was staring at the screen open mouthing and like "What the fuck was that?!" Totally hooked, right from the word go ( ... )

Yeah, RDA/RC - I could definitely get use to them in scenes together!

Ok, I will agree on you about the fact that I know Jack can be pretty cold sometimes but I just found it weird. I like my squishy-happy Jack and was hoping for some of it in the pilot... Oh well, the "beam you up to our spaceship" line made up for it!

*snort* It really does make no sense why they let him keep his iPhone but it is quite hilarious. Can't wait for his reaction when it runs out of battery.
