A/N: This is the sequel to my story
Bleeding Love; you don’t have to read it to understand this, but it would probably help. The title comes from the song ‘Sick Cycle Carousel’ by Lifehouse and the whole thing was highly influenced by a
Sam/Jack vid to the song. Also, some of the lines are taken from the movie A Perfect Getaway which prompted me to

I liked it. I also went back and re-read Bleeding Love... it kinda makes me want to slap Sam silly. What was she thinking?!
I like that you didn't turn Pete into a complete asshole, I've always felt a little sorry for him in Threads; there's that hint that he knows exactly why she's breaking it off, and that's gotta hurt, even if he's been expecting it all along.
I like how it's all a bit awkward and strained between them. I can't stand those fics where she breaks up with Pete and her and Jack jump right into bed and live happily ever after. It just wouldn't work that way. She's hurt Jack too and it's good that you've ended this on a note of "seeing how it goes" rather than "instantly happy". They still both have their issues to work through, even more so after this mess.
Err...sorry for the essay. LOL. :)

The whole thing with Pete, in the actual show, makes me want to slap someone. It's just so painfully noticable that she doesn't want to be with him... That she's forcing herself to commit and on that front I do feel bad for Pete; I kind of hated Sam for prolonging it as long as she did.

Ditto. Sam and Jack have issues, and that's why we love them. I like seeing them sift through them on their way towards happiness.
Err...sorry for the essay.
Hey, I like essays! LOL - I'm glad you enjoyed it, sorry it took so damn long to write!

Honestly, I don't think Pete was a stalker; he had genuine concerns about who she was and what she was doing, plus it didn't help that he was a cop. Regardless, I do agree that it was kind of wonky that he would ever be allowed that far into the SGC workings. And that yes, it definitely went too fast for her to cope with.
