Well, my plans for putting my brain into neutral for the summer apparently have to go on hold - I've finally got an internship lined up. A Loyola professor has said that I'm welcome to clerk for him at the IL State's Attorney's office if he doesn't find anything for me by Thursday ( Read more... )

6 or 7 years is the usual expiration date for cars. especially when they are made in mexico. what's the point of buying a volkswagen that's not made in germany (or assimilated countries)?

Um, huh? As long as they're taken care of well, most cars can last a decade, if not two. My Beetle has a mere 103K miles on it. If it were a 1980s Detroit car, I might expect it to be having issues like this, but not a late 90s German car. They're supposed to be better built than that...

Also, about the trip, I really don't need to go anywhere special, or anywhere at all. IF you can be with me on my birthday then that is what will make me happy. seriously.
