I just got back from a restaurant where I ate about half of a hamburger that, upon reflection, tasted like uncooked ground beef soaked in lighter fluid.
Well that sounds just terrible, darlin'. I've done that though: continued to eat something that not only tasted dreadful, but I suspected was just not meant to be consumed...
I read somewhere that food-related poisoning generally takes as long as digestion to kick in if your physiology is normal, so you should be dead by now if you were going to be? And I'm pretty sure you can drink lighter fluid at least once and live.
