I believe from my vast experience of watching tV programs set in Las Vegas, that you get free drinks.

Only if you're gambling. They don't go giving away free drinks to wandering travellers who stop by the casino with no intention of spending any money. Sadly.

My main memory of Death Valley is that we needed a jumper there (in February). Just not quite what you might expect from somewhere so famously hot.
