An excuse for gadgetry on the other hand... :-)
Cuba and beaches - apparently the trick is to avoid the beaches next to the oil refineries. Apparently the brochures take their photos carefully. I have a cool wooden face mask from Cuba.

The Gibbon probably won't want to spend too much time on Beaches in Cuba. Been on Caye Caulker for 2 weeks, which is a pop. 600 island of white sand, 1 mile x 200 meters (approx). Beaches have been thoroughly done this month.
Probably not allowed to dive?

Asthmatics and diving don't mix apparently. Although it does seem the the link of bad with asthma isn't very well studied and mild asthma (like me) probably can dive if someone is willing to take a small risk...
P.S. metame says almost been there to caye Caulker (either that island or one very near by...)
