In other news, I heard semi-officially that I got the job at Rutherford Lab - now waiting for the offer letter... and need to make the choice of Didcot vs London.

Ooh! Semi-official-congrats. V exciting. What's the pros and cons of each location - do you have a current favourite?

RAL - permanent position, means moving out of london, a long way from Pip, probably nicer work...

Imperial - ~2 year contract, quite a long way from Pip

Probably lots of other stuff besides. I'm leaning towards RAL...
