There are many people to whom I would love to tender such an apology, however it is the fear that the sincerity would not be seen but, instead, flung back at me in anger and bitterness.

So I keep quiet. I hurt and remain silent, silently wishing that I could apologize - and more. I don't really know what else, but something more.

You are one of those people to whom I need to apologize and for a great many things. And I fear.

But the tears of regret and pain are real. So is the tremendous feeling of love and sincere sorrow.

Thank you for reminding me of the simple things. And I am so very sorry. For so many things. I love you - I miss you - and I wish you a life free of negativity and want.

Thank you.

The fear of reprisal is very real, but that's not your problem, that's the other person's problem. If you've truly done what you can, then it is out of your hands. If the other person rejects your apology, then they weren't going to accept anything anyway. Either way, you benefit from a clean kharma.
