When the branch crunched outside, Hal yipped in her sleep, which woke Lennox up and he sat up in the bed, blinking at the door. Maybe he should have felt guilty about falling asleep while Chris was all absent, but he figured Chris would act guilty enough for the both of them. Besides, he was sick. That had to be a get out of jail free card for at least a month.
"Hey," he said, his voice low as he blinked at Chris in the dark. "Where've you been?"

Silently, he wandered to a dark corner and toed his shoes off, hands tugging at his shirt at the same time, pulling it up and over before dropping it down to the ground. His jeans still on, he wandered over to the bed and sat down, feeling the heat from Lennox's body close to his.
"I know it's late, I'm sorry." Frowning still, he lifted a hand and pressed it to Lennox's forehead. "How are you feeling?"

"What are you, my mother?" he asked in a soft, teasing voice, then flopped back down onto the bed again. "I feel okay, no worse than before." No better either, but he figured that wouldn't come for another week or so.

"You need anything?" he asked, ignoring the other comment. "Water or something?" It wouldn't be too long a walk up to the Compound, after all, and it'd give him some more time to think. Not that he really needed to think anymore.
