After running for the Council three times already, Chris figured he should probably have it down to some kind of science. Even if just an elementary one. But, with the reformation that, granted, he'd had a definite part in forming, everything was a little more complicated. Add on to that, the fact that for the first time, Chris had an actual, ( Read more... )

The bookshelf had given her a fake American history textbook by Jon Stewart, and it was probably the best thing she'd been offered in her few weeks on the island. Interruptions were still welcome, though -- it wasn't like she was in a rush to get anywhere but home. Looking up from the book to see Chris, she smiled. "Sure, Chris," she said, sitting up a little straighter and patting the seat beside her. "What's going on?"

"I saw the sign on the bulletin board," she said, nodding. "Toby talked about it some, too." Drawing a knee up toward herself, she leaned forward against it, attentive. "Well, we're doing it a little different this time," Chris told her, though he knew that Donna may or may not know that. She hadn't been around for the other elections, but Toby or Ainsley or someone probably could've told her about them and about the way they'd reformed it this time around. "And, I'm... well, I think I need some help."

At that, his lips quirked slightly and he gave her a significant look, hoping she'd get where he was going with it before he had to outright ask. "I don't-- the other times, someone just put my name up and then I gave a speech and just waited. But now, we need to get bids and I still need to do a speech and I don't have being the head of the crew to fall back on anymore and, well... I don't really even know where to start."
