Anniversary!

They'd agreed on one day. With the council elections coming up and all the work that was going into that, they'd agreed that they couldn't really get away for much longer. With a soft laugh, Lennox looked over at Chris, one arm thrown over his eyes a little to block out the bright sun that was beating down on them. "If it was one of those movies, shouldn't we be rolling around in the surf as we passionately kiss and as music with like, trumpets and violins and shit swells in the background?"

God, he hoped the island never turned into a romance from the fifties. The music alone might get a little tiring, he had to think. "'Cause we can do that if you want," he teased. "We wouldn't have any dramatic music, though."

"In this place, you never know," Chris pointed out, lips curled in a goofy sort of grin as he looked at him, one hand resting over his bare chest and the water lightly tickling his feet. "Maybe a full orchestra will break out of the trees or something.

It'd be better than dinosaurs.

"I dunno if that would be funny or fucking terrifying," Lennox said after he thought about it for a moment, his arms spread wide, the fingers of one of his hands toying with Chris's hair gently. It was nice to just lie here and relax and not worry about having to get anything done. Even if it could only be for a day, he thought they need it and deserved it at least a little bit.

"I'm leaning toward terrifying, man," he decided, grinning over at Chris.

"It'd depend on how high you were at time," Chris pointed out with a smirk as Lennox's fingers brushed his hair. It was only a light touch, one he could barely feel at all, but it was nice. Though, that likely largely had to do with how completely relaxed he was, the sand like a blanket beneath him and the sun warm on his face.
