Managed to convince a decent selection of people to come out for this. Even Caitlin - it was our first outing together without Ava as out minder.
Me and Caitlin went along to a pre-gig gig in the Subcity Garden where RM Hubbert and Wounded Knee were performing, both together and seperately. Afterwards we walked up to meet Jamie and then Larry at the Flying Duck. Jenna, Sandy, Katie, Gary and eventually Ramo and Martin came to meet us in there too. I also met Thomas (photography kid from the
Audio Lounge Party) again shortly after arriving - he has the best high fives; I think the pain of it seared through my hand and into my soul.
We missed Cheer because everybody was too lazy to move into the room with the bands (I quite like Cheer too) but caught all the other acts. I'm a bit 'meh' about the Gummy Stumps (I can appreciate they're good but not really my thing) but I really enjoyed everyone else that played - particularly Moon Unit, Teenage Ricky and Two Minute Noodles (TMN were awesome actually) as I hadn't seen them before.

Ultimate Thrush were on last. The first 10 minutes of their set consisted of them sitting inside a semi-erected tent with a strobe light while Turkish(?) music played. Then they came out, played a few songs, the crowd crashed the stage area and the guy in charge got mad because his stuff was "getting wrecked" and stopped the music early - boo. It was still awesome though.
