What brings you to Rome? I'd love to go myself -- and yes, I do miss the Mediterranean way of life!

Incidentally, I did manage to spot the pyramids from the Citadel in mid-February. There had been about ten minutes of rain, just enough to clear the smog.

My parents live in Germany. I'm visiting them for Christmas, and we took a five day trip down to Rome, as my Mom and I had not been there yet.

As to seeing them from the Citadel, I'm sure we used to be able to see them from further than that, once upon a time in a land far less polluted. ;-D
