I bet the same people who are complaining about LJ's new policies are the same people who walk into a bar already drunk looking to hook up but don't buy a drink.
1. There was some malfunction with the LJ search that caused words like "bisexuality" to come up with no results - so people started to complain that they were being censored. Which it seems to all have been repaired.
2. Seems LJ is changing - doing away with a bunch of free accounts - which is freaking some people out. For some reason, it seems some people do not want to pay for a service they use every day! Hence the comparison. From what I have read there was a one day protest by people - no writing! Which is just kind of stupid to me, I have the paid account for $20 a year. I like the fact we do not have to deal with spam or ads on the site. The people behind LJ do a good service and should get paid.
Fact is, though...and you'll hate on me for this...I have a free account. When they force me to pay up, I will, though. You're right -- for a measly $20 or whatever, I should pay up for the service. I'm obviously a regular user and LJ is a great blog site -- much better than Google's "Blogger" or whatever. I had to use that for a project not too long ago, and it SUX. BIG TIME.
But I have a lot of Scots in me, see, and I don't like to part with me money... :-( So I won't pay until they prise the money out of me cold, clasped fist.
opps bitter betty here?

What "LJ's new policies" do you mean...? I'm always a step behind on things like that, sorry :-(

But when people act as if they deserve something for free just because - very American - gets on my nerves...
