IMHO, it's an amazing feeling when you finish scrubbing out a stove. it's a huge feeling of accomplishment, knowing that - once again - the oven is (mostly) clean. after spending all of this Monday roasting pumpkin and pumpkin seeds, knowing some drips were getting away and the grease was building up, it was on my mental list of jobs. now it's done ( Read more... )

well, i hope when you finally get around to your oven, the dirt is just dirt, and not something inside slowly flaking away *lol*

yeah, weird weather yesterday! and colder today. hoping that it makes up its mind, because this is the type or variation that inevitably makes people ill. :/

i'm trying. *lol* it's been a challenging transition in a lot of ways, but every change requires work, whether it's locale, work, relationship - and i did all of it in a few years. i miss my mom and my family. it's ironic that i'm the one who has always been willing to "leave home" for the right circumstance, and me the one who actually has close ties to my family.

more irony: scrubbing out all that caked-on corrosion yesterday only for the baking element to finally fail this morning. then again, i figured out where all the new corrosion came from: disintegrating heating element! LOL
