That, my friend, is totally cool! Wanna see some ladies costumes though...

Alas, you'll have to wait until I get hold of some other people's photos. But check out the pink armour in the Greek photo (front rank) - that's a lady right there!

Sure you weren't at Rowany Festival? The site looks awfully similar. Glad you had a good time.

Quite sure! I guess both events were in roughly similar territory. This one was near Wiseman's Ferry and I think Rowany was somewhere near Peats Ridge?

I met a lady (named Sara, as it happens) who was visiting both events over the weekend, commuting from her home near Camden! What a lot of driving.

A very good sign that they were organised enough to have St John's there. How did your boots hold up in the wet?

It was an extremely well-organised event. St Johns was onsite the whole time (and the ambos seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves - one was a keen leatherworker and offered to make us stuff for nothing if provided patterns!)

Other examples of good organisation: there was street lighting at night (oil lamps marking the inner camp perimeter), camp fires built on steel sheets and sand to avoid digging up the campsite, firewood all provided, and professional onsite kitchen catering the feasts.

My boots held up well - got soaked through, of course, but still very comfy (though I admit to cheating by wearing waterproof socks on the wetter days).
