Ye Olde Biff! Bam! Splat!
So, on Sunday me and some other warriors of the Miklagard Garrison of the New Varangian Guard got together to entertain the good citizens of Ashfield, during their Carnival of Cultures, with ye traditional olde medieval violence. And yea, they saw that it was good.

Up - the latest Pixar movie - is wonderful. I'm sure you've already figured that out for yourselves from other reviews (or, you know, by actually seeing it). My weekend
What did I do this weekend just past? I visited my dear friend Katie and her baby Sophie up at Port Stephens. We went for a sail in her cousin's boat on Saturday (fantastic! The wonders of life
I've just had the most amazing, tiring and wonderful day. I was (unplanned and unexpectedly) the birth partner for my lovely friend Katie.

Coraline
I saw Coraline (in 3D) last night. It's terrific! Beautiful animation: it's a combination of stop-motion and digital 3D, which is put to excellent use. The voice actors are all good, and the story is solid. Quite creepy too - one sequence had a woman sitting near us in terrified gasps and squeaks, which rather added to the atmosphere ( Read more... ) -
