Just wanted to quickly report something interesting at my hotel this weekend... a ventriloquist convention. There are a lot of puppets (several of them anthropomorphic, mind you), a dealer's room, geek talk, pizza boxes and room parties everywhere... I feel like I'm at a furry con again

well... based on what I know - Jeff Dunham was not physically there, it was a video taped demonstration. Still a very interesting con... based on what I saw...

sorry I don't keep up on LJ's that much but this is really cool. I do always kinda thought that ventriloquist puppets are all rather creepy looking and not cute at all. I think they could use a lesson from the furry artist or fursuit makers. I must say though, I watched Americas Got Talent this year and Terry Fator won. He did the most impressive ventriloquism I've ever seen. Not only did his mouth not move one bit, he did impressions of famous people singing seamlessly identical. I'm sure if you look up Terry Fator on YouTube then you can see what I mean.
