Laptop

Well I managed to find an off brand PCMCIA CD-ROM...here's hoping I can boot from it. I need to find some RAM for this laptop because Win XP is going to suck with only 128MB RAM. I need two sticks of PC100 128MB, but it's NOT normal RAM, it's this tiny half stick sized ram. One auction I saw claimed it to be 144 pin, but I don't see that many ( Read more... )

Sorry to say, I haven't updated in half a month here, Pardo. *hugs gently* I appreciate the offer, but my friend Taylor Humby from Second Life sent one to me that she had sitting around. It's an IBM Travelstar 20GB. It works but at the moment has something like 17GB of MP3s on it. So I'm going to make a backup DVD set of the music first, then format and install windows XP Pro. Though, one thing I do need is RAM, but it's friggin hard to find and when you do find it, it's usually expensive as hell. The RAM for this Vaio, is as I stated in the post you replied to... And the link there is the cheapest I've found them for so far. It's 100mhz FSB though...and in 128MB incriments, I think almost $60 is kind of steep.

Right now I have two sticks of 64MB, I rather need 2 sticks of 128MB if I'm going to run XP. But you know how that goes x.x
