We decided to walk 18 holes of golf yesterday at Lochmere. I don't own a push cart so I carried my bag the old fashion way. The course is a bit over 6100 yards and the pace was slow as hell with all the Sunday traffic. One group, ahead of us, was jamming up the entire queue behind them. So I decided to pick up an OEM copy of Vista and install it on my desktop machine. It really needed a reinstall anyway and since I didn't have a legit copy of XP I decided to take the plunge and buy Vista Ultimate. I dropped my first mortgage check in the mail on Friday. I hope that will sting less as time goes on.

I managed to move into the new house last week during the hottest week of the year so far. All the boxes are pretty much empty but I still need to setup my office and organize my closet some more. I finally signed my life away today. From boxing the foundation to closing was three and a half months. If road workers here were so efficient we would have more that 4 miles of 540 built in the last 3 1/2 years. Woke up today around 6:30AM EDT and it is now 10PM Pacific here in Anaheim. The trip via DFW to Santa Ana/Orange County/John Wayne went pretty well all things considered. I managed to get signed in and find dinner before retiring early for the night.

I locked down the closing date on the house today. So this leaves me with a pre-closing walk through on the 19th then a week in Anaheim starting the 21st and closing on the 30th.
