i have to agree with you about the federal government not giving a shit, but its not like the state government didnt tell everyone to evacuate. i know not everyone had the means of getting out of town, and i fell sorry for them, but people who just stayed were fools. i still feel sorry for them and i have spent hours helping with releif funds. people, not black people, but people in general, can be really dumb sometimes.

well if you look at the people that didn't evacuate, you see that most of the people were not able to because of their financial states. of course there were some buses that helped people leave, but when you hear about the police and bus drivers that just turned in their badges, it doesn't seem like the people had a chance to get out. im not saying it's the police and firefighters and bus drivers faults im saying the state should have done a better job on helping the people evacuate the city. it's the state's obligation to its citizens to help them in a time of crisis and they failed to do so.

well, your right, but what i think people are over looking is that in a state with over 13 million residents, all but about 10,000 people got out. having said that, i think that is 10,000 to many. i dont think anybody was on the ball
