The racial insensitivity of sheep is staggering. But look at it from a different cultural perspective. I am from India and I was considered the family curse because I have a very dark skin, while the other women in my family have a very fair skin. Through my childhood I heard wails that no man would marry me because of my color. So my mother religiously tried variously skin lightening treatments in the hopes of turning me a couple of shades fairer and more acceptable in the matrimonial market. I ran away rather than be put on the market but that is not the point. Maybe your ram isn't racist. He is just of Indian origin.
Thanks so much for yet another of your hilarious and unique interpretations of rural life. And for teaching me a new word, "raddle." I think the book covers would at least be very colorful...
