You shouldn't laugh at the misfortunes of others I know, but I nearly got thrown out of the doctor's surgery last night for laughing so much as I was reading French Fried on my brand new Kindle! And I can so sympathise - we're expats too and have had our share of mayhem and bureaucracy and armed policemen.
Wonderful book, brilliantly written - please write more!

Thank you, Stephanie! I'm 28,000 words into my latest project at the moment - a steampunk version of Jeeves and Wooster, set a generation earlier in an alternative 1903 with an augmented Queen Victoria still on the throne.
