Driving back from Des Moines today, I had Avenue Q stuck in my head and suddenly got some weird need to try and write a parody, and started working out some lyrics. When I got home, I messaged Kenny Lull, who was the first person to introduce me to Avenue Q back in LA. I told him I'd been thinking about Avenue Q and suddenly got an idea in my head

Indeed, this has been done. We did a whole set of them on the drive back from Origins one year, alongside Rocky Horror. (Same year we did "Michael Jackson's dead in a hole! Sex drugs and rock and roll! Farah Fawcett's dead in a hole! And no one cared." We're all pretty much going to hell.)

Unfortunately, it was Josh, Bill, Kat, someone else, and I. But I don't remember any of the words or songs we redid...

The number of times I've had this pop into my head...especially since I now own the Avenue Q soundtrack.

We did the whole soundtrack on the way back from Kublacon the first year. We had such hits as "The Camarilla is really, really, great...FOR SET" and Carlotta Giovanni singing "I Can Make You Feel Spectral".
