I think first of all I'll just throw this out there and see what kind of reaction it gets.

"There is no TRUE religion that everyone in the world should follow."

What do ya'll think about that?

I don't believe thier is any one "right" religion. Think about it all the religions have pieces of the others. Odd isn't it. Maybe it's all right or all wrong. Maybe it's never wrong to believe in something that helps you. LOL I could make this question very complex.

well the question in itself is very complex ro start off at, that's why I asked it. See, I know no one religion will be followed by all, everyone is different so therefore there should be different religions to follow. What am asking is which one is more up on the true word, and which ones are man made up to just talk about the one and only?

When it comes to religion I'm very ecumenical and pluralistic. Like I said before I don't believe there is ONE RIGHT religion or ONE TRUE religion. I'm gonna have to insert some of my book nerdiness in right now and say I think that the words of Neil Gaiman in American Gods are especially relevant.

"Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you- even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage, thrives, prospers, and triumphs over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world."

And also one of my favorite quotes ever from the book Life of Pi"As if small-mindedness did God any good. To me religion is about our dignity, not our depravity ( ... )

commentary agreed.

my perspective- all religions were established by humans in different cilmates, cultures, geography, etc.....It touches all aspects of the human psyche. In every religion we address: love, greed, family, work, tradition, male/female, etc...But based on history is how the religion grew and how doctrines were created.
Ex: Kosher has long been believed to be established as a dietary rule for the sake of the contamination of food products and this is a big reason why pork was not consumed, becuz of disease.
