Okay, thank you all for your advice...what my lazy ass decided to do in frustration was just go out and buy McAfee. $70 bucks down the drain, again.

Please hope that it works for me! My laptop shut down 4 times on me last night...the last time I finally just said fuck it and went to bed...

McAfee is what I use, and so far (knocks wood) no problems... just update it once a week and you should be fine...

Windows has a new update available, 'cause they don't check all the holes in the software code and debug properly before they put it on the market... *snorts* But anyway... I'd strongly suggest you download that, too...

SpySweep or AdAware would be a great addition... I highly recommend havin' one of 'em... if ya choose AdAware, it's a free download at cnet.com...

Firewalls are great... sometimes they don't work with certain websites and/or programs, but youre DSL tech support people should be able ta help ya tweak it if ya need to...
