While at the postoffice this morning I learned about a neat new thing. They now offer an "atm" style kiosk for sending packages and letters that is open 24/7. Need to send a package at 3AM (as freaks often do...)? Now you actually can. It allowed for packages, letters, return receipt etc ( Read more... )

ah, the fabulous APC! before we got set up with endicia to handle our postage, I was the APC's biggest fan. it might be different where you are, but I was constantly amazed that people would stand in line for the counter while the sparkly APC stood idle. however, it does have some limitations - the biggest (IMHO) being that you can't use it to send mail to other countries. still, I loved that thing (and it definitely shows clueful behaviour on the part of the USPS!)
