I find things that are always worth the money are tools of various kinds - really good kitchen things, or drills, or things like that. Some can be everyday improvements while others are less frequent, but high quality tools to use really enable whole new possibilities.

You might also consider treating yourself to an experience. A massage, a boat cruise (like whale-watching etc). One year I paid for Devin, my brother and I to do a helicopter tour of the Bay and it was AWESOME.
