So, I'm working on a refi to reduce my interest rate and therefore my monthly payments. The appraisal is Monday. The place is in reasonable shape--I'm not cramming in any last minute painting or whatever. While it's always good to get a deep cleaning in, the appraisal will not be affected by anything except possibly exterior paint/appearance if it's in bad shape (which I know it isn't). They simply look at the bones and ammenities of your place and compare it to like properties in the area, particularly recent sales.

Your chores list makes me exhausted just to look at it!

:D Thanks for the reality check. I pruned the list some--I still did about 3/4ths of the stuff there, but the items I pruned were the ones that would take the longest (all the baseboards, for instance, or cleaning all the candles in the fireplace).

Place looks pretty shiny--he's going to be here in a couple hours, so I better hop in the shower--hope you guys had a good weekend!
