One more, and then I promise to stop the decor spam. Until I do the bathroom, anyway. Which may be a month or so--I need to straighten out the budget after this shindig.

I just wanted to take a close up of the floor, because the samples online are terrible photos, and you can't really see it in my photos of the room as a whole.

How is it to walk on? Is it comfortable for bare feet?

It's very comfortable--what you're seeing is all color--if there is any texture in the design, it's in a layer below the clear fiberglass top layer. The top layer is very slightly pebbled for traction, and that's it. It's a little cushioned, but not so your feet will notice--not like those floors that feel like walking on a wrestling mat. Just cushioned enough that you're less likely to break something that falls on it, you know?

:D I love it. Which is awesome, since I hated my old floor so much, I can't even...

I know! I saw it in a floor shop, you know, where they install sections of different flooring so you can see it in place? And I just kept coming back to it and gazing with adoration, even though I was shopping for something completely different. I'm so glad I got to use it.

That looks really neat. And I just looked at your other kitchen remodel post and I really love what you've done with it. Your old flooring is pretty similar to mine--which I hate too, so I can sympathize. *g* If I could do one major project on my house it would be to rip out all the carpet and vinyl and replace it. What I'd replace it with changes from time to time, but still. Change is good.

(I swear I replied to this--I think memory loss is setting in or something!)

But yes--change is good. :D Especially if the change was my idea.

And who ever in a million years thought that awful clammy white tile with the bad faux grout lines was a good idea? Seriously. It's been inflicted on too many of us!!
