I got the same birthday notification, and was hit by a wave of missing Lucy all over again.

That's fantastic about M.

It is--I got to visit with him this evening--he's still behind the curve, developmentally, but he's so much more attentive and communicative and just present. He just talks and talks, and has way more eye contact, and can let you know when he's cranky, so you can fix it. It's such a huge relief to have him be able to communicate, you know?

And yeah, communication like that is an amazing thing.
