Wow, I got a part!

One of the producers of Oliver! called me up today to let me know that they were offering me the part of Old Sally! So, I only say a couple of lines and die, but, really, that's the kind of part I want. I have no desire to get a big part with lots of lines to learn and lots of rehearsal time. Woo hoo!

Your chance to finally walk the boards! Yahoo!

So, you going to take a break from costuming for this one? Or are you doubling up?

I am not the costumer for this show, but I'll probably pitch in and help, since I'm there anyway. I'll probably at least make my own costume.

Woo-hoo! That's especially impressive given that Oliver! has so few parts for women.

What figmo said - grats!!!

Didn't know you were a soprano. Why do I think you're a soprano? You're going to sing soemthing, then die. That's what we do.......

Ha. Well, I don't sing before I die. I tell them the secret of Oliver's birth and then I die.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I'm a soprano or whatever - never had enough formal singing training to find out. Guess I will find out now. While I'm not singing in my big scene, I should be singing in with the ensemble in a couple of numbers.
