The award goes to the person who said this in regards to the attempt to blow up an airliner over Detroit:

"We had no domestic [terrorist] attacks under Bush; we've had one under Obama."

Hahahaha, I've been lolling over this all day. And now it's accompanied by the single most epic backpedaling I have ever seen. :D

And think about this: He was Time's Man-of-the-Year months after 9/11. It's the most ridiculous kind of "HOW COULD U FORGET" joke imaginable. Mel Brooks couldn't even write this.

But you know a couple months from now the Republican base will just be "I like him. He's got good ideas."

And that man was running to be our president! He had a decent chance until he screwed his chances by only visiting what he figured where "key" states in the primaries! ::laughs:: It's so... ludicrous!

I'm still trying to make myself believe he really said that!

I can't wait for The Daily Show come Monday. Must remember to watch it.

I'm sure in his brain he thought he had a slam dunk argument against Obama but when it reached his vocal cords it didn't sound as brilliant as he hoped.

I heard someone try to explain that Giuliani meant that no event like the Fort Hood shooting occurred during Bush's presidency, but somehow I think Richard Reed the shoe bomber counts as a domestic terrorist attack.
