Thank you. :)

They are calling for new Liffs for the website and potentially a fourth book, so if you fancy it, follow the link in the post and try submitting some of your own. I don't want to sway you, but not only have contributors been promised a free copy of the book, but we're having a launch party in October some time (which means - yes! - FREEEE sausage rolls!). ;P

Free sausage rolls, you say? 'Tis tempting indeed... Although I'll have to leave it a few days because I have a bit of a cold and it has reduced my brain to the consistency of Angel Delight...

Your turn next. I've always thought that Australia has some particularly fun place names - if anyone can come up with some brilliant Liffs to post to the new website, it's you. :)

I actually have one I love in particular but it's not really Liffable - Useless Loop, Western Australia. Population 100, one of whom called me at work a couple of years ago, so I finally got to learn the story of why it has its name. (It's because there's a reef that cuts the town off from the ocean, so there's a 'loop' of water where boats can't get in.)

You HAVE to Liff that. Just for the sheer joy of an actual place being called 'Useless Loop'!

I personally live a couple of miles from Pratt's Bottom... :)
