It's been ages, hasn't it? I'm afraid RL has had me in it's thrall and apart from sporadic dips into fanfiction (something to read has kept me from going totally barmy), I haven't really had a lot of free time.

Thank you soooo much to everyone for the birthday wishes... I'm blessed to have some really nice friends despite me neglect of them. *BIG

Have you read all the Kelley Armstrong books? I can really recomend them - starts with Bitten. And Juliet Marillier is mighty fine too. Happy birthday, sweetie! *hugs* xxx

I've read Juliet Marillier's, Son of the Shadows, and loved it so will buy more. I'm up in London tomorrow so I'll try and get hold of the Kelley Armstrong one. Thanks, pet.

Good to have you back on LJ. I'm sorry to hear about your EBL and all the trouble you (meaning him, you and the rest of the family) have to go through! I guess it's just never easy or straightforward with mental problems since there's still so much we don't know about contributing physical and social factors. It's always such a long process to get a valid diagnosis and an adequate treatment, and even then the success is often rather limited. :( But it sounds like you're doing everything you can to help and I sincerely wish you all the best!
I haven't been posting much in english lately. Actually I haven't been posting much at all, since I've been on sickleave for 9.5 weeks due to some torn ligaments and a broken bone in my ankle. Today is my first day at work. We'll see how that works out. :) But it's good to be somewhere else again. I've already come to think that the world is pretty much our living room. *sighs*

It's really embarrassing to say, but... I ...uhm... walked. *nods* Yes, despite having 28 years of experience doing just that, I managed to make my foot look like a truck rolled over it with just one regular step.

The broken bone worried me the least, actually. The torn ligaments hurt like hell and then - after two weeks of "wait and see" - the MRI showed an additional bone contusion, which apparently is responsible for why it took so long to heal. But I'm much better now. And I get massages. Yay! :)

Shame to hear that your lad's still having trouble but at least, as you say, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Sounds like you had a fun holiday though!
