Copied over from Nebula's journal... and I seem to recall it was Neb's journal I copied it over from last year too. That girl is mightily efficient. grins*

Hmmm... the jigsaw idea is good, but I keep the Sprogs limited to small items that will, literally, fit into a shoe box. That stops them spending too much of my their money.

The flower idea, though. That's thoughtful, and kind of nice. If we don't wrap until the day before, ie. Christmas Eve (I've decided we will do a Christmas morning deliver run as I've only got six old folk on my list and they're all in my locale), they'll survive and look nice next day... in fact, a little vase to go with the flower - I know a lot of charity shops always have vases or oddments of little wine glasses. Ooh, you've got me on a roll here!

I shall expect a very grand Chrimbo pic from you too, missy!

Thank for the inspiration, pet.

I didn't have anything to add, until I read Em's reply about the Age Concern Christmas boxes. I know both my gran and my great-aunt loved to read. Great-aunt's eyes were horrible because of her diabetes, so Mama would bring big lettered books for her from the library. Unfortunately these are usualy only available in romantic novels. Maybe you could look for big lettered novels that aren't the romantic family sagas? (Oh, now I gave you extra work!)

Excellent idea! Thank you.

My sis in law works at a library. They often sell off books as they renew their stocks. I'll ask her if they have some we can use.
