Birthday

I had 4 days off work last week which was BRILLIANT!

Mum has done so well since her leg operation that G & I took her out for the day on Thursday to Joondalup. We met G's parents' for lunch & then did a lot of shopping! Then we went to Karrinyup & did some more shopping hehe Dropped mum at home & then I went to Ikea to have dinner with the girls.

Kim made me a birthday cake - a MASSIVE penis-shaped Rocky Road cake!!! Oh my god! It was hilarious... all my workmates kept coming over in the staff restaurant to have a look haha

The girls went back to work so Kim & I went shopping in Markethall. Annoyed our supervisor downstairs & even though we weren't working customers' kept asking us for help! We must have that 'can I help you?' look on our faces.

On Friday G & I did some shopping in Claremont (new Mimco bag for meee), had a very yummy lunch at the new Claremont Quarter shopping centre and then went to Subi. Saw 'Angels & Demons' which was REALLY good. I liked the first one too, but I thought this one was great. We went to Karrakatta because I haven't been since Aunty Therese's funeral; took some yellow gerberas & left some at the sites of AT, Aunty Marj & Uncle Johnny, Uncle Mick, Aunty Helena, Aunty Molly, Aunty Helen, Nanna & Grampy. It was a lovely day in the sunshine & I felt much better after going. Then we had dinner at Hogs Breath in NB - yuummm steak! :)

Saturday was spent cleaning & tidying as some of my friends' were coming over before going out. G went off to see the new 'Star Trek' movie with his family. Tony came over & we played 'Time Crisis' & drank a very nice bottle of Pinot Noir while waiting for everyone else.

My birthday at the Brisbane was fantastic! I didn't have to buy a single drink hehe & everyone who didn't know my age kept guessing around 26 so that's pretty good lol I certainly don't feel 32! I am NEVER drinking shots again - squashed frogs are REVOLTING. I don't think my body can handle Jagermeister & Red Bull either because I was feeling decidedly pissed after that.

We managed to walk to the Aberdeen (argh bad memories!) & stayed there for awhile, then we ended up at the Paramount (more bad memories!) for a bit before heading off. Gav & I walked all the way home to my place which took like an hour & man did my feet hurt after that! (damn heels!)

Think I had about 4hrs sleep before mum rang (let the machine get it) with 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!' then the bloody woman rang my mobile lol so I had to answer that. G was sick all day so we didn't do much other than get the groceries.

Dinner at my parents' later (G stayed home) with my cousins' as well. Mum made Aunty Marj's egg & asparagus mornay, there was also chicken, sausage rolls (for the kids'), salad & bread. Then we had apple crumble, jelly, cupcakes & HONEYJOYS for dessert. Mum always makes them for my birthday & she has to make extra for Trish because we both love them; so before we went home we were both acting extremely mature & stealing them off each others take-home plates haha I won - I got 9!!!

So I had a FANTASTIC birthday & was VERY spoilt. I received so far:

* WII Fit!!!
* Gorgeous silver key & necklace from Tiffany & Co
* Mimco bag
* Mimco necklace
* Peter Alexander voucher
* Tagine (YAY! I can't wait to cook with this during winter)
* Slow Cooker (and this too!!!)
* Pilgrim book charm
* 5 crime books
* Chocolate (argh... I haven't finished my EASTER chocolate)
* Penguin

My boss is in Germany at the moment - but she's just had a huge bunch of Gerberas delivered to work for my birthday! Aww.
