I have to say... This was so hurtful to read. It is clear that the Lord has granted you a beautiful gift of writing. The prose is stunning, in syntax and style. It is breathtakingly beautiful. This piece is rife with love and desire. But the topic is a sin. The Lord loves you but He does not wish that you write him sinning with the Apostle John. Though you have captured the beauty of the tenderness that surely existed between Christ and the Beloved Disciple you have spoiled it with implying lust of the worst kind. Please consider how God has showered you with gifts and talents and consider how best to praise Him. This piece is a perfect way to praise Him if you remove the homosexual references. What Jesus had with John is sacred. I know by your writing that you understand how precious their bond was. Please keep it pure. You are very talented. I have already and will continue to pray for you. God bless.

Thank you so much for the kind words about my writing! I don't believe that homosexuality is wrong, but even if I did belive that, this ficlet was written for Deborah back in 2010, so my changing anything about the piece now would be rather rude, I feel.
