I have spent the larger part of my day reading... random streams of information about Charles Manson and Rasputin spawned by an earlier viewing of the History Channel leading to articles about Trent Reznor's A & B room setup at the original NOLA location of Nothing Records. In case you did not know: In an incredible coincidence, Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails recorded The Downward Spiral at 10050 Cielo Drive, the very house where Sharon Tate, et al were murdered on August 9, 1969.

Yeah I did know that. The front door from the house where "Pig" was scrawled in Sharon Tate's blood now graces the front entrance of Nothing Records. ;)

10050 Cielo Drive doesn't exist anymore also. The original house was demolished shortly after Reznor vacated the premises he had rented to record Downward Spiral. He requested to the owner at the time that he get to keep the front door which, obviously, he did. He admits to distastefully dubbing the temporary studio "Le Pig" while he was occupying the space. A huge sprawling mansion was erected on the location and the physical address of 10050 has since been changed to 10066.

HAHAHA. Yeah... talk about the effects of insomnia! Even I read that post and went wtf?! My mind is an amusement park. I doubt anyone would want to visit in the light of day when they see how scary it really is. ;)
