A few weeks had gone by; Kazuya hasn’t seen Jin since the kiss. Jin had always told him that he had been busy. At first, Kazuya had thought that Jin was avoiding him but he knew better. As if his week wasn’t bad enough, Kazuya’s mother and father told him that Kazuya’s obaachan had just died.

Sighing, Kazuya made his way over to his room. He stared out his window. Seeing the park, some random cars, an old couple walking hand in hand….

I really wish I’d have someone like that. I wish I’d have someone hold my hand while we walk around. I want to have someone I can hug when I’m sad; someone I can kiss when I feel like it. I want someone who will tell me “Daijobu yo” when I feel bad. I want a lover. I want to have the kind of love that my jiichan and baachan had.

He lied down on his bed face first letting the pain take over his body. He cried and cried, tears falling down his face and staining his bed sheet. He wanted to see Jin because even for just a short while, Jin had managed to make Kazuya’s life seem fun. He needed Jin.

He smiled when he saw Jin walking out of their house. He quickly ran down the stairs and ran after Jin.

“Jin!” shouted Kazuya.

Jin looked back at him and smiled, “What’s up Kazu-chan?”

Just before Kazuya had the chance to answer him, Jin’s cell phone rang. “Chotto matte ne Kazu-chan; I need to take this call. Wait for me here.”

Jin started to walk away with the phone in his hand. Kazuya just looked at his back slowly drifting away from him. Jiiiinnnnn..I really need someone to talk to…I wish you’d come back soon.

At first only a few minutes had gone by, then hours until it was night time. However, Kazuya didn’t want to move. He wanted to stay and wait for him.

Jin, where are you?

Soft sobs came out from Kazuya. He thought he already had a new friend but I guess he was wrong. He silently made his way home, it seemed like his house were a million miles away when in reality it was only a few steps. His eyes were aching from his crying and his muscles were worn out.

He made his way to the door and knocked. He was surprised when no one opened the door for him. His mother should be home by now. “Kaachan?” softly called Kazuya.

No one answered. Great! JUST MY LUCK! I can’t even get in my own house. He sat down in front of the door and placed his head in between his legs and just started to break down. He thought of his grandmother who he’d never see again and he thought of Jin. He thought of the way Jin had just left him behind like he was yesterday’s trash.

“Kazuya? Is that you?” called a voice.

Kazuya lifted up his head to see Jin’s mom. “Hai. Do you need something Auntie?”

“Not at all Kazuya but I was wondering what you were doing outside your house. Is your mother home?”

Kazuya shook his head, “Iie. No one is. I can’t even get in. Daijobu yo Auntie. I’ll find a way later. I just want to rest for a while.”

Mrs. Akanishi took Kazuya’s small hand into her own. “Don’t worry Kazuya, whatever happened I’m sure there’s a reason. There always is. Now, come into our house. You can stay until your mom gets home. I’m sure Jin will be thrilled to have you over.”

Kazuya smiled and nodded his head, thanking the lady for her kindness. He took her hand and made their way to Akanishi’s house.

“Honey, Kazuya’s gonna be joining us tonight. It seems that his parents went somewhere and he cant get into the house.”

Jin’s dad smiled at him and said, “You can stay as long as you want Kazuya.”

He thanked both adults for their kindness and made his way into Jin’s room where Jin’s dad said he should stay. He opened the door and found the room surprisingly neat. The things that Jin had before were now neatly arranged in the room. He lied down the bed, feeling all those emotions rush back to him. He silently cried himself to sleep.

A soft rustle woke Kazuya up, he opened his eyes and saw Jin sitting next to him. He sat down quickly and put his head down.

“Mom told me why you’re here.”

Kazuya just nodded his head. Jin opened his mouth again, “Are you okay, Kazu-chan?”

Kazuya debated whether to speak up and tell the truth or just nod his head. In the end, he was too embarrassed and just nodded his head in response.

“MOU! What’s wrong Kazu-chan? Why won’t you speak to me?”

Kazuya just shook his head and continued to look down. What do you want me to say Jin? Should I say I waited a whole afternoon for you? Should I say I embarrassed myself because I actually thought that you were my friend and that I wanted to cry in your arms?

“Fine! If you won’t talk, I’ll do something bad to you.” Jin glanced at Kazuya wanting to see if his threat had worked or not. He was surprised to see Kazuya in tears. He didn’t think that his threat made the boy that sad.

“Gomenasai Kazu-chan!” Jin said while gathering the boy for a hug. “I didn’t mean to scare you, I would never do something bad to you.”

Damn these butterflies! Leave my stomach alone!

Jin cursed inwardly as he saw that what he said only made Kazuya sob harder.

“I. .I’m sorry, Akanishi-san. I didn’t mean to make you . .u. .uncomfortable. . I. .I was ju. .just feeling sa. .sad.”

Kazuya struggled to maintain his composure. He didn’t want to cry anymore but being wrapped in Jin’s arms made him feel safe. He wanted to cry his eyes out and mourn.

“Kazu-chan…” whispers Jin. “You don’t make me feel uncomfortable. I just wanna know what’s wrong? Can you please tell me?”

Kazuya leans into Jin’s chest more. “I feel so stupid Akanishi-san.”

“Nande? What happened, Kazu-chan?” Jin tightened his hold on Kazuya and pats his back reassuringly.

His mind started debating where to tell Jin what was really wrong with him or go with the less aggressive blow of the day. In the end, his embarrassment still won and he just said, “My grandmother died.”

Jin stopped for a brief moment. He pulled away and looked into Kazuya’s eyes. “Daijobu yo.”

Kazuya’s tears instantly stopped it was like magic. Jin’s eyes made him feel wonderful. He didn’t know why but as he looked into Jin’s eyes he felt something.

“Akanishi-san. . .” Kazuya leans in for a hug but Jin just puts him at arm’s length. He stared at Kazuya and smiles.

“Kazu-chan, didn’t I tell you to call me Jin?” Jin smiles playfully at Kazuya urging the lad to smile back.

“Demo, it just feels weird calling you Jin. Besides, I feel weird around you.” Kazuya blushed as he looked down; Jin just stared at him.

“Hai hai! Whatever you say Kamenashi.” Jin stood up leaving Kazuya in the bed hugging a pillow to himself. As Jin looked back at him, Kazuya just looked down.

Kazuya wanted to run into Jin’s arms and apologize but he knew that he would make things worse. He balled up into one side and let the tears fall from his face.

Jin locked himself in the bathroom and turned on the water, “Damn damn damn! Why the hell?! Why am I so affected by this turtle?! I HATE IT! I hate this! I can’t fall inlove with him! He’s . .he’s Kazu-chan!”

He sat down in the toilet when he heard soft sobs coming from the room. He probably made Kazu-chan cry again. He silently cursed himself inward as he went out of the bathroom and made his way to the bed.

He gathered the boy in his arms and comforted him, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry really really sorry Kazu-chan. I can’t imagine what kind of hell you’ve been through today and I’m still hurting you. I shouldn’t have been like that. I’m sorry.”

Kazuya’s tears were falling but his heart was racing. He didn’t know what kind of feeling it was and he was confused. “Jin. .I need to ask you something.”

Jin smiled to him and said, “What is it?”

Kazuya bit his lower lips from the embarrassment. No surprise, Jin found it adorable. He wanted to lick the lower lip of the boy but Kazuya wanted to talk so they had to. He had to control the urges to kiss the boy.

Kazuya opened his lips and said, “I feel funny.”

Jin was instantly worried, he held his palm up to the younger one’s forehead and shook his head, “No fever. What kind of funny is it Kazu-chan?”

Kazuya’s cheeks turned bright pink and his face started to heat up, “Uhm . .I. .uh. .I feel like I have butterflies in my stomach and I feel like I’m light headed and dizzy and I have this strange urge to hug you.”

Jin’s eyes widened at the thought of Kazu-chan’s words. He was describing how Jin felt.

“Kazu-chan, I know what you’re feeling. You like me.” Sighed Jin.

Kazuya blinked in confusion. “Isn’t it obvious? I like you, Jin. You’re one of the coolest person here. Of course, I like you. You’re my friend.”

Jin laughed at the logic of Kazuya. “Baka!”

Kazuya stared at Jin questioningly, “Did I say something wrong? I mean, shouldn’t I like you because we’re friends?”

“No. It’s okay but the type of like I was talking about was different. Never mind, I’ll tell you something about it next time. Now, it’s getting late and you have to go to sleep.”

Kazuya pouted at Jin, “Demo!! It’s still early I want to play with Jin!”

Jin looked over to the cute Kazuya pouting, “Daameee!”

Kazuya’s lips pouted more and Jin could see that his lips were perfect. The pink curves were fantastic and the details were exquisite. It was truly one of god’s masterpieces. “JIIINNNNNN!! I wanna play!”

Jin gave in and laughed, “Hai hai! Let’s just play, stop pouting like a little kid!”

Kazuya gave Jin a little nod and went over to hug Jin. “Arigatou!”

Kazu-chan, you really don’t know what kind of effect you have over me! I have to stay away from you. I don’t think I can teach you if you’re like this.
